In 2011 the National Association of Maîtres D’Hotel and Waiters Spanish (AMYCE) with Mahou Cinco Estrellas rewarded “Maître Five Star” to the Best Professional Chamber Jose Luis Lucas García, Head Hotel Restoration. This category encompasses waiters, maîtres and directors of room around Madrid and recognizes the professionalism and good work Jose Luis Lucas has done at the hotel for more than 35 years.
Ignacio Martinez Parrilla, hotel waiter, was in 2012 the winner of the of excellence test done in the 10th promoting Maestresala course of the Hotel School of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce. A jury of 15 restoration and training professionals evaluated the top four students of the course with a test that included seven exercises with all kinds of difficulties. Ignacio overcame all challenges proclaiming “Maestresala Excellent” of his class.
Just one year after being recognized with a Michelin Star, the renowned chef Ricardo Sanz and all Kabuki Wellington restaurant staff were honored in 2010 at the Hostelco awards (current World Hospitality Industry Awards) with H Award for Best Restaurant Hotel.
Various travel and booking websites have awarded the Wellington Hotel by the high rating it has received from its customers after staying with us. In 2012 was the international travel agency Orbitz who recognized the Hotel with the “Best in Stay” award for being the best valued hotel in Madrid. This award is given taking into account the comments and assessments of over 200,000 customers of this agency who have booked and stayed at different hotels in the 75 most popular destinations in the World.
And in 2013 the Expedia and TripAdvisor websites have done the same. The “Expedia Insiders’ Select 2012” award recognizes the hotel as one of the best rated in the World based on feedback from the experiences of more than 500,000 customers that annually send their comments to Expedia. This award identifies us to provide consistently superior service, an exceptional experience and outstanding value, becoming “a hotel of excellence.”
The prestigious “Certificate of Excellence 2013” by TripAdvisor rewards the excellence in hospitality. Granted only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor and all worldwide companies who fulfill the conditions necessary are eligible. Travelers have recommended the Hotel throughout the year 2012 and they have positively assessed, qualifying it a 4 out of 5.
In the La Cazuela XV Awards Wellington Hotel was rewarded for “His solid trajectory in the world of Hostelry.” These awards were presented in June 2012 to more than 2,000 attendees and in the gala, hosted by Ana Rosa Quintana and Michael Caamano, also were honored large companies and professionals as Mariló Montero, Sergio Fernández Luque, Campofrío or Bodegas Torres.
